Certificates: Viewing, Downloading & Sharing
When you complete an exam, your teacher or organization can issue certificates to qualifying students. Testify generates professional PDF certificates that include your score, rank, and a unique verification code that anyone can use to confirm authenticity.
Where to Find Your Certificates
Accessing the My Certificates Page
- Log in to your Testify student account.
- Click "Certificates" or "My Certificates" in the left sidebar.
- The page displays all certificates you have earned, sorted by date.
What You See on Each Certificate Card
Each certificate card shows:
- Exam title -- The name of the exam you completed.
- Score -- Your percentage score with a green checkmark icon (e.g., "85.3% Score").
- Rank -- Your position among all participants (e.g., "Rank #3 of 45").
- Date issued -- When the certificate was generated (e.g., "January 15, 2026").
- Verification code -- A unique alphanumeric code displayed in a gray monospace badge.
- Two action buttons: "Verify" and "Download PDF".
Empty State
If you have not earned any certificates yet, the page shows a message:
"No certificates yet. Complete exams to earn certificates. They'll appear here automatically."
Tip: Not all exams generate certificates. Your teacher or admin decides which exams award certificates and what the minimum qualifying score is.

Tip: Save your certificate PDFs to a cloud drive (Google Drive, OneDrive) so you always have access to them.
Verifying a Certificate
Every Testify certificate has a unique verification code. Anyone -- employers, schools, or other institutions -- can verify the authenticity of your certificate using this code.
Verifying from the My Certificates Page
- Go to "My Certificates".
- Click the "Verify" button on the certificate card.
- A new tab opens showing the public Certificate Verification page with the certificate details.
Using the Public Verification URL
Certificates can also be verified by visiting the public verification URL directly:
https://your-testify-domain.com/certificate/verify/YOUR_CODE
Replace YOUR_CODE with the verification code printed on the certificate.
What the Verification Page Shows
When a valid code is entered, the verification page displays:
- A "Verified Authentic" banner at the top with a green checkmark, confirming the certificate is registered in official records.
- A decorative seal with an award icon.
- "Certificate of Achievement" heading.
- The text "This certifies that" followed by the student's full name.
- "has successfully completed" followed by the exam title in quotes.
- Three stat boxes:
- Score -- The student's percentage.
- Rank -- The student's position (e.g., #3).
- Participants -- Total number of students who took the exam.
- Date Issued and Verification Code in a details section.
- A "Download Certificate PDF" button for the verifier to download the certificate.
Failed Verification
If the verification code is invalid or the certificate does not exist:
- The page shows a "Verification Failed" banner in red.
- A message states: "This certificate could not be verified. It may be fake or the code may be incorrect."
Network Errors
If the verification server cannot be reached:
- The page shows a "Connection Error" banner.
- A "Try Again" button lets you retry the verification.
Sharing Your Certificate
You can share your certificate in several ways:
Sharing the Verification Link
- Copy the public verification URL:
https://your-testify-domain.com/certificate/verify/YOUR_CODE - Share this URL via email, messaging apps, or social media.
- Anyone who opens the link can see the verified certificate details and download the PDF.
Sharing the PDF
- Download the certificate PDF (see above).
- Attach it to emails, upload it to LinkedIn, or submit it with applications.
Adding to Your Resume or Portfolio
- List the exam title and achievement on your resume.
- Include the verification code or link so that the recipient can confirm its authenticity.
Tip: The verification page is public and does not require a Testify account to view. This makes it easy for employers or schools to confirm your certificate.
Understanding Certificate Eligibility
Not every exam completion results in a certificate. Here is how eligibility works:
- Your teacher or organization admin generates certificates for an exam.
- They may set a minimum percentage threshold (e.g., only students scoring 60% or above receive a certificate).
- Once generated, the certificate appears on your "My Certificates" page automatically.
- You do not need to take any action to claim it.
Certificate Details Explained
Verification Code
- A unique alphanumeric string assigned to your specific certificate.
- Printed on the PDF and shown on the My Certificates page.
- Used by third parties to verify the certificate's authenticity.

- Rank #1 means you scored the highest.

Teachers and admins can view and manage certificates from the exam management panel. As a student, you may see certificate information on the exam results page as well.
- After completing an exam, check the exam results page.
- If a certificate has been issued for that exam, a link or download button may be available directly on the results page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why don't I have a certificate for an exam I completed? Certificates are generated by your teacher or admin. They may not have generated certificates for that exam yet, or you may not have met the minimum score requirement.
Q: Can I get a replacement certificate? The same certificate can be downloaded as many times as needed from the My Certificates page. Each download produces the same PDF with the same verification code.
Q: Can someone forge a certificate? Every certificate has a unique verification code. Anyone can verify the code using the public verification page. If the code does not match, the certificate will show as invalid.
Q: Can I request a certificate for a past exam? Ask your teacher or admin to generate certificates for the exam. Once generated, it will appear on your My Certificates page automatically.
Q: Is the verification link permanent? Yes. The verification link works as long as the Testify platform is active. There is no expiration on certificate verification.
Q: Can I share my certificate on LinkedIn? Yes. Download the PDF and upload it to your LinkedIn profile under Licenses & Certifications. Include the verification URL so viewers can confirm its authenticity.
