Referral Program: Invite Friends & Earn Credits

Testify's Referral Program lets you earn Paper Credits and AI Credits by inviting friends to join the platform. The more friends you refer, the higher your reward tier and the more credits you earn per referral.

Referral Program

Accessing the Referral Page

  1. Log in to your Testify account.
  2. Click "Referral" or "Refer & Earn" in the left sidebar.
  3. The Referral Program page opens with your unique referral link, stats, tier progress, and leaderboard.

At the top of the page, a card displays your unique referral link.

  1. Your referral link is shown in a text box with a monospace font.
  2. The link looks like: https://your-testify-domain.com/signup?ref=YOUR_CODE
  1. Click the "Copy" button next to the referral link.
  2. The button turns green and shows "Copied" for 2 seconds.
  3. The link is now on your clipboard, ready to paste anywhere.

Below the referral link, three sharing buttons are available:

  1. "Share" -- Uses your device's native share dialog (on mobile) or copies the link (on desktop). The share message reads: "Sign up for [Platform Name] using my referral link and we both get free credits!"

  2. "WhatsApp" -- Opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message containing your referral link. The message says: "Join [Platform Name] using my referral link: [your link]".

  3. "Email" -- Opens your default email client with a pre-filled subject and body:

    • Subject: "Join [Platform Name]"
    • Body: "Hey! I'm using [Platform Name] for creating AI-powered question papers. Sign up using my referral link and get started: [your link]"

Tip: WhatsApp is often the fastest way to share. Tap the green WhatsApp button, select contacts or groups, and send.

How the Referral Program Works

The referral process has three simple steps, displayed in a "How it Works" section on the page:

Copy your unique referral link and share it with friends, classmates, or colleagues through any channel -- WhatsApp, email, social media, or in person.

Step 2: Friend Signs Up

When your friend clicks your referral link and creates a new Testify account, the system automatically records them as your referral.

Step 3: Get Rewarded

Credits are awarded automatically to your account. You do not need to claim them manually. The credits appear in your balance immediately.

Referral Stats

Two large stat cards below the referral link show your overall performance:

  1. Friends Referred -- The total number of people who signed up using your link. Displayed with a users icon.
  2. Credits Earned -- The total credits you have earned from all referrals. Displayed with a coins icon.

Referral Stats

Reward Tiers

The Referral Program has a tiered reward system. As you refer more friends, you unlock higher tiers that award more credits per referral.

Viewing Your Current Tier

  1. Below the stats cards, find the "Reward Tier" section.
  2. Your current tier is shown as a colored badge (e.g., "Bronze Tier").
  3. The credits earned per referral at your current tier are displayed (e.g., "1 paper credit per referral" or "2 paper credits + 1 AI credit per referral").

Tier Progression

A progress bar shows how close you are to the next tier:

  1. The bar shows your current referral count versus the number needed for the next tier (e.g., "3 / 5 referrals").
  2. The text to the right shows how many more referrals you need (e.g., "2 more to Silver").
  3. Below the bar, a note describes the rewards at the next tier (e.g., "Next tier: 2 paper credits + 1 AI credit per referral").

Tip: Once you reach Gold tier, a message confirms: "You've reached the highest tier!" -- no further tiers to unlock.

Highest Tier

If you have reached the maximum tier, the progress bar is replaced with a green message:

"You've reached the highest tier!"

Understanding Credits

Paper Credits

Paper credits are used for creating question papers and exams on the platform. Each referral earns you a set number of paper credits based on your tier.

AI Credits

At higher tiers, you also earn AI credits. These can be used for AI-powered features like question generation, AI tutoring, and AI explanations.

Using Your Credits

Credits earned from referrals are added directly to your account balance. You can check your credit balance in your account settings or billing page.

Best Practices for Referrals

Maximizing Your Referrals

  1. Share in group chats -- Post your link in class WhatsApp groups or study groups.
  2. Personal messages work better -- A direct message to a friend is more effective than a broadcast.
  3. Explain the value -- Tell your friends what Testify offers (practice exams, AI tutoring, adaptive learning).
  4. Time it right -- Share before exam season when students are looking for study tools.

Common Sharing Channels

  • WhatsApp groups and direct messages
  • Email to friends and classmates
  • Social media posts (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook)
  • Sharing the link in person during study sessions

Terms and Conditions

A "Terms of Service" link at the bottom of the referral page leads to the platform's terms. Key points:

  • Referral credits are awarded only for new, unique sign-ups.
  • Self-referrals (signing up with your own link) are not allowed.
  • The platform reserves the right to modify tier thresholds and credit amounts.
  • Credits earned through referrals may have usage restrictions defined by your organization.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do my friends get anything when they sign up with my link? The referral program primarily rewards you, the referrer. Whether the referred friend also receives a welcome bonus depends on your organization's configuration.

Q: What happens if my friend signs up but doesn't use my link? The referral is only tracked when the friend uses your specific referral link during registration. If they sign up without the link, it will not count as your referral.

Q: Can I refer people from other organizations? Yes, as long as they create a new account using your referral link.

Q: When do I receive my credits? Credits are awarded immediately after your friend completes their registration. You will see the update in your stats and recent referrals list.

Q: Is there a limit to how many people I can refer? No. You can refer as many people as you want. The more you refer, the higher your tier and the more credits you earn per referral.

Q: Can I see who did NOT complete their sign-up? No. The system only tracks completed registrations. Partial sign-ups or abandoned registrations are not shown.
